Be An Advocate
The Mental Health Association of New York
City is Committed to Advocacy
The MHA of NYC takes the long view in our commitment to
advocacy, through which we anticipate changing mental health trends
and work to address unmet needs. We are committed to making the
vision of community mental health a reality in New York City and
State.
In January, 2003, the Mental Health Associations of New York
City and Westchester launched the Center for
Policy, Advocacy and Education.
The Center serves as a hub for progressive thinking and action
to address changing mental health needs. Learn more about the Center for
Policy, Advocacy and Education, and how you can become an
effective advocate.
Also, learn more about the Geriatric
Mental Health Alliance of NY (GMHA-NY), and how you can
advocate for changes in mental health practice and policy to
improve current mental health services for older adults.
